Who We Are

The Lane County Community Foundation, located in Dighton, Kansas, is a 501c3 non-profit corporation. We make it possible for the members of our community, as well as native Lane County residents who reside elsewhere, to fulfill their philanthropic desires and make life even better for those who call Lane County home. Contact us for more information on how you can impact our community!

What We Do

A community foundation isn’t just a lump sum of money—think of it as a tree. The main trunk is the foundation’s general fund that we operate from. From there, we have branches that emerge that you, as donors, help create. Check out our current funds and see exactly how we benefit the Lane County residents HERE.

Origins: Why, when and how the LCCF was formed

In 2017, Lynn Schriock, a Lane County farmer, rancher and volunteer firefighter of over 40 years passed away. Lynn selflessly left his entire estate to the local fire departments of Lane County. Lynn’s gift has enabled us to form your community foundation.

Impact on our community

Keep money local

Donations to the LCCF are tax-deductible, which keeps more money local and cuts down on the tax you pay to Uncle Sam.

Improve lives of citizens

The scholarships, grants and projects that our funds help support make our community a more vibrant place for our citizens to live and a more attractive place for those who would like to move to our community.

Fulfill your philanthropic needs

The beauty of a community foundation is that by donating, you can fulfill your philanthropic needs, receive a tax deduction, improve our community and more, as well as having a say in how that money will be used.
